At Green Haworth, Religious Education is an integral part of our curriculum and reflects our distinctively Christian ethos as a Church of England school.
We use the Questful RE curriculum to provide a rich, well-balanced and engaging exploration of faith, belief and values. Through this carefully structured approach, children are encouraged to ask thoughtful questions, reflect deeply and develop a secure understanding of the world in which they live.
Questful RE enables pupils to explore all areas of Religious Education with intellectual curiosity and respect. It supports learning about Christianity, including the life and teachings of Jesus, the significance of Christian beliefs, and the ways in which faith inspires worship, service and daily life. Children are also introduced to other world religions and worldviews, helping them to recognise similarities, differences and shared values across communities.
This curriculum is designed to broaden children’s knowledge and understanding of the wonderful diversity in our world. It encourages pupils to value the beliefs, traditions and experiences of others, while developing empathy, tolerance and a strong sense of mutual respect. Through discussion, reflection, stories, artefacts and enquiry-based learning, children are given meaningful opportunities to explore important questions about identity, belonging, faith and morality.
